Editorial policy

Updated: 2026-09-05

Every piece of FitTop material is created by one process: outline, sources, draft, fact check, editorial review, publication. This page explains the rules of that process and their limits.

Sources

Source priority runs from official guidelines and systematic reviews to peer-reviewed studies and textbooks. Each source in a material lists: title, organisation or authors, link, access date and which claims it supports. We do not use sources whose existence we have not checked, and we do not attribute to sources conclusions they do not contain.

Claims about health and training load are made only with a source behind them. Material contains no medical promises — diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation are out of scope.

Authorship

The materials are published by the FitTop editorial team. We write only verifiable facts about qualifications; if the editorial team has no specialisation on a subject, we say so plainly and rely on sources. Invented names, degrees and certificates are not used.

Use of AI

We use AI tools while preparing material: structure, drafts, wording edits. This is a working tool for the editorial team, not a replacement for checking:

  • every claim, source and numeric example is editorially checked before publication;
  • AI is not used to invent facts, sources, reviews or medical promises;
  • calculations are done by code — pure functions with unit tests, not text generators;
  • responsibility for published material rests with the editorial team.

Corrections

An error can be reported through the Contact page. For every message the editorial team checks the claim against sources. Substantive corrections are reflected in the page update date; minor formatting edits do not change the date.

Conflict of interest

If a material is connected to the interests of a gym, a brand or an equipment manufacturer, that connection is disclosed directly in the material. Today the editorial team has no such connections; if they appear, this section and the page will be updated.

Advertising labelling

Today the site has no advertising and no affiliate links. If they appear, they will be visually separated from editorial content and clearly labelled ("Advertising", "Affiliate link") — no hidden integrations and no sponsored material disguised as editorial.
